Nubble Ghost Ship

Beth had only seen this in photographs.  But that spring morning when they drove out there, she anticipated just seeing a charming home.Plus she loved anything Maine.  Toss in huge granite boulders and she was home.

The locals call it the "Nubble." It is a ligh house formally called, the Nubble Lighthouse. Located just a bit off the eastern point of Cape Neddick, Maine. This tiny, rocky island is a couple of miles to the north of the mouth of York River and York Harbor.  You can see why it was named, Savage Rock a few hundred years ago. It is only accessible by boat in treacherous waters.  But a few decades before it was build the ship, Isidore, sank in the area.  Sometimes in the evenings, you can see people in the distance awaiting the ghost ship.  Beth wanted...had to know more.
